BUG-X NEMATODE CEREAL BUGS
$39.99
HOW TO USE Apply to wet lawn when soil temperature is between 10°C and 32°C (50°F and 90°F), and water the nematodes generously. 0.64 cm to 1.27 cm (0.25 to 0.5 in) of water 24 to 48 hours before application will bring the bugs closer to the surface and maximize contact with the nematodes. Apply to moist soil in the early morning or evening to avoid heat and direct sunlight. STEP 1: WATER THE LAWN It is recommended that Wilson® Bug-X® Cereal Bug Nematodes be applied when the lawn is wet, after a rain event or watering. Apply after a rain event or water the lawn prior to application. If soil temperature is above 32°C (90°F), irrigate with at least 0.25 cm (0.1 in) of water to reduce temperature before application. STEP 2: INCORPORATE NEMATODES Remove the sprayer lid, open the plastic bag and place the bags in the sprayer without opening them. To avoid clogging the sprayer, DO NOT tear or open the bags before placing them in the sprayer. Add approximately 1 inch of warm water to the sprayer to dissolve the solution. Open the plastic vial and pour the natural wetting agent into the sprayer. Fill to the line with room temperature water. Close the lid tightly and shake vigorously to disperse the nematodes evenly. STEP 3: ATTACH AND SPRAY Attach the hose to the sprayer and turn the valve to the Mix position to begin spraying. Start by spraying the most affected area of the lawn and continue spraying outward to ensure complete coverage. Keep the lawn wet for 3 days (or 1 week if the weather is dry) to ensure that the nematodes reach the area where the bugs are present. There will be a small amount of product left in the bags once the spraying is complete and the sprayer is emptied. These can be placed in the composter or disposed of with the regular garbage. EFFECTIVE AGAINST Common and southern grain bugs. WHEN TO APPLY Chinch bugs cause the most damage in July and August when the weather is hot and dry. Watch for their presence from June to August. Control test: Take a can and cut off both ends. Push it about 5 cm (2 in.) into the ground. Fill with water and check for bugs after about 5 to 10 minutes. Usually a treatment is required when there are 25-30 bugs per square foot. Wilson® Bug-X® Cereal Bug Nematodes do not adversely affect beneficial insects such as ladybugs or earthworms. The treated area may be used immediately after application. WHERE TO APPLY Lawns and gardens TIPS Do not store an opened bag (use the entire contents in one application). Shake the solution often during application. Keep treated area moist for at least 3 days (or 1 week if weather is dry). Depending on water pressure, it will take approximately 7 to 10 minutes to empty the sprayer. FORMAT Covers 3,000 sq. ft. STORAGE Nematodes are living organisms and should be used as soon as possible. Do not leave nematodes in water, in a bag or in a container. Do not place in direct sunlight.
